Child with a Chequebook meets Natural in Front of a Nikon

This child with a cheque book blogger Taylor brown is one of my best friends. Who knew she was such a natural in front of the camera. Her whitty banter and signature signoffs will keep you coming back for more. She has great advice for real girls and her look is always put together, I have never seen her with chipped nails! She has dark hair and stunning blue green eyes and she finds me funny so all around a great person. Taylor and I took some photos at the beach on Lakeshore and continued onto Queen West. Check out the no filter pictures below. I highly recommend you go experiment with your look and a camera. If nothing else you will have some laughs to remember the experience.

Wood Burning Oven

YUM! This by fair my favourite type of pizza and this week I went to a new restaurant on lakeshore. 850 Degrees Pizzaeria is delicious. I was first introduced to wood burning oven pizza in Montreal. California pizza had a wonderful atmosphere and glamourized a very simple meal. Italian food is my weakness and by that I mean food is my weakness. Everything in moderation!

Entrepreneurs Unite!

This week I went to Digital Fashion TO at the Hard Rock Cafe. It was interesting to hear the following line up describe their triumphs and struggles breaking into the competitive fashion market. The key note speaker was Jodi Goodfellow. She has an intimidatingly long list of a accomplishments which include being a high school teacher in Toronto and starting her own business Fashion Forward. Another stand out was Andrew from Man Up who is going to be on Dragons Den! He said we legally was not allowed to talk about the shows results but he also said he was no longer financing the company alone… I know I will be watching.

Networking is one of the most intimidating parts of these events. Katherine and I had a glass of wine and went to our seats while Jen and Kaelin shopped around at the Jewelry booths. Katherine and I were lucky a blogger took it upon herself to learn a little more about us. She turned about in her seat and introduced herself to us. I admire her upfront style.

Jen, Kaelin, Katherine and I

I am grateful Kaelin introduced me to this event. Everyone you meet knows something you don't so its important to get out there!

El Catrin

Last night I went out for dinner with my sister Emma, Cousin Shauna and my friend Taylor. It is awesome having a girl’s night to catch up. Shauna is a well-educated Torontonian who knows the hot spots to eat. It is always fun to try a new restaurant and El Catrin did not disappoint.

We got Guacamole en la mesa to start, above there is a picture of my dinner Tacos- Sudados, followed by Emmas Tacos- Gobernador, Taylors Botanas- Gringa and Shauna’s Tostada-Atun. To be honest, when the servers brought out our food we had no idea what they were saying. There was a 360 rotation between what was presented in front of us to what we ended up eating.

The waitress recommends that you order for the table meaning everyone chooses one thing and you pick and chose off each other’s plates. Eating with one vegetarian and another gluten free makes things difficult so we all got our own thing.

The picture of the outdoor patio is from Blog Spot Toronto which I wanted to include because I can't wait go back when the weather is nicer!

Power of Positive Thinking + Law of attraction

Source

I finally got to get away this week. My Father, sister and I went to Florida. Like everyone else in the world we have all been working really hard and needed a break.

We were taking a walk on the beach (insert sounds of the ocean), my dad started asking my sister and I what we thought of the power of the law of attraction. My mom is very much into this method of thinking, seeing something or envisioning yourself doing something and therefore making it happen. We laughed and said why. He went on to tell a story about how when he was parking the car which was a mild nightmare with spring break aka everyone and their sister down heading to the beach. The day before he said he planned out getting a parking spot. He told himself I will drive around one more time and go down this isle and to the right and I will get a spot, he did.

Today, we were behind a car and someone pulled out so the car in front of us got a great spot and it was good timing for them. My sister said, "oh good for them". Then my father thought to himself we would get the next one because Emma wished well for others.

His third story stepped away from parking. As we started our walk on the beach he thought to himself, oh it would be nice to get a sand dollar for Nancy (my mother). He pick up one shell that looked like one, but threw it back because it was broken, and what do you know, the next shell he picks up is a sand dollar.

At this point my sister and I were smiling thinking about this normally skeptical man enjoying the little events he had wished upon himself. Thinking more positively is healthy for your brain and body.

Wish well for others, focus on the good, pay it forward and good things will happen to you.

I leave you will the peaceful image of the ocean that I took today. It is as beautiful as you are.
