This past weekend me and my best old pal took a photography courses so we could stop being basic and start learning about these very expensive cameras we have purchased. GTA Photography in Toronto was a great experience. I love the "Field Trip" we got to take aka walk around the city and try and take pictures on something other then the automatic setting. The course was a Saturday Sunday class. I wish we had done that both days but I understand the technical stuff is important too...
As you can see I am still working on my tendency to over expose
Goal: Make the back ground clear and the object close to you, in this case the fence, blurry

Being in Toronto allows us to see our other amigo, Shauna! We stuffed our very hungry faces at La Carnita and went home and crashed in front of How to be Single (only 52% on Rotten Tomatoes but 100% to us).
All you can do is keep going. I have a bunch of exciting things coming up this year. First on the list, Europe for a month! My sister and I are taking off the jolly old England thanks to WestJet 250 dollar deal to London. When we first started planning we were going to do the whole shebang, Oslo, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Greece, Italy etc. The more we were talking about the more we realized we would be travelling between places for more time then we would actually be in the place enjoying the experience.
We are going to London, Greece and Italy. One my best friends is working in London and already has a bunch of amazing activities planned out for us. Next Greece. Emma was there in high school and has always wanted to take me. I found a sweet hostel in Santorini and she already has us signed up to rent ATV's and ride around the island. FINALLY the rest of my family (Dad, Mom, Ty, Uncle and Aunt) are coming to meet us in Italy. We have rented to amazing Airbnb's. One is on the Amalfi Coast and the other is more north in Tuscany.
What's your next big adventure? If not now, when?
Do you think we can get all this done in 3 Days? Its ambitious but so are we.
I am going to treat my birthday as a New Years because I have been missing in action for some time and I think its a great excuse to set a new goal and get back into whatever you were slacking on much like myself.
Horoscope from the Toronto Star on April 19: This year you open up to a new perspective. You might be tenuous as to how you use this new vision. If you decide to maintain the status quo, you will often reflect on the fact that you could create more. Many of you could opt to travel or go back to school as you want to understand and know more. If attached, the two of you find the more you grow, the better your relationship becomes. Your ability to embrace your significant other’s negative and positive traits highlights your relationship. You will see this type of acceptance and love returned perhaps not immediately but eventually.
Finally, if you're going through anything draining keep in mind, It's almost that time of year when this is the appropriate uniform.
I just read something saying around new years, birthdays, beginning of the weeks people interest in starting new activities peak. I think my 25th birthday is the perfect reason to start back up with everything. I may not start going to the gym as consistently but I will start writing more.
25 is BIG. Its the year Jessica Simpson was dreading so why can't I (jump to 34 seconds in on the video clip so you don't miss the magic) . I am a typical person who hates birthdays. I hate time passing and at a speed which seem hyper sonic.
My sister every year plans something amazing for me on my birthday. This year my girlfriends planned a wonderful day and night. It was a beautiful day in Toronto. It went a little something like this: Gusto Next Stop Sweet Jesus (40 minute wait in line but our nail appointment was not until 7:30 so we had time to kill) Her Majesty's Pleasure awesome nail bar... literally its bar where you can get a manicure, pedicure and blowout 90's Themed Party at the Gladstone Hotel
Grace Kelly was a girl from Pennsylvania. She became an
actress then married a PRINCE. I am just saying… the dream is still alive
people.
In Monaco, we visited Saint Nicholas Cathedral, the
church where Grace Kelly was married to Prince Rainier III on April 19, 1956. The two
met at the Cannes Film Festival and were married eleven days after Prince
Rainier came to meet her family and bring them back to be France to be married.
The church was also the setting of her funeral. She tragically died in a car
accident when she suffered a stroke while driving and lost control of the vehicle
on September 14, 1982.
The country is generally very small but the hills and history make it a beautiful principality. If you get the chance to go I highly recommend it. We also went to visit the castle which is open to the public. Sadly you can not take any pictures while inside and I haven't figured out how to upload my memories.
The biopic below is short video on Grace Kelly's life. It is in black and white which is kind of fun.
France food, food France… it’s basically the one in the
same. Of course it was wonderful. I chose to focus on my positive experiences as
oppose to my cheese sandwiches with a side of bread (in my opinion the bread to
cheese ratio is suppose to be 90 10, I don’t need a brick of cheese on a cube
of bread).
A baguette a day keeps the doctor away; or a tropezienne
depending on your sweet tooth. Our hotel was fairly central in Cannes and
surrounded by lots of bakeries and restaurants. A baguette was only 80 cents, euro cents but still inexpensive.
One of my favourite nights/restaurant, which might have had something to do
with the amount of wine that was consumed throughout the meal, was at Le Caveau30. The restaurant had a fun atmosphere and I had pesto tortellini so my food was green which made me laugh.

This restaurant is gorgeous (locking that away for future home decor)
Maybe ill start drinking coffee if they all look like this
The restaurant below needed its own section because we went there three times! With all the restaurants available to us I would say that makes this one pretty special. As soon as you sit down you get a glass of champagne in your hand. The waiter who is from the south of Italy was sweet and he knew Guelph therefore a keeper. The food... there are no words. I love spicy food and the fact that my pasta wasn't over cooked and my mouth was on fire equals an A+ in my book.
I cannot get over how amazingly gorgeous Cannes was. In the
past I would get home sick whenever I would go on vacation but now that I am
older I appreciate more the privilege of travel. I am not going to lie;
whenever we would get in a car in France I would still loose my mind. It makes
me feel claustrophobic and impatient and when I am not driving I feel a bit out
of control, which can make my mood most unpleasant for those around me.
We started off week number one with a standard car. I laugh
at the most inappropriate times so when my dad would stall the car in the
middle of the intersection and cars were honking and people were giving us the
figure I was hysterically laughing in the back (very rude I know I would stop
if I could). After a day trip to Monaco the car broke down... that was special. After that it was automatic all the way. He was very brave for driving because we got to see all these beautiful cities in France.
