Just the Beginning

So, it is the Monday following the last week of classes. Eight AM rolls around and I am not in marketing/IMC... I am not looking at a tired yet well dressed group of people and I am sad. During my undergrad I was a number not many people knew my name and I came in and out of class as I pleased. On the other hand at Humber almost everyone in my class knew my name and I am leaving there with a group of friends I know will remain close despite us not being in school anymore. I can not thank everyone in my class enough for helping make this time not only memorable but enjoyable. I have to stop writing now because I am getting sad thinking about it. I wish everyone nothing but success in whichever direction they choose. Our graduating class was remarkably talented and it is an honor to know them all.

After our final exam we went out to breakfast at the Good Fork on Bloor near Jane station. Im going to miss these ladies. Cally, Katherine and Kaelin have been my go-to's for eight months but I feel like I've known them forever. Click on their names to check out their personal blogs!

I love eclectic picture frame displays, I want to make one myself one day
Champagne with breakfast.. why not!

I wouldn't trade this year for anything and I am excited to see what the future holds! Now lets bring on the 30 degree weather and get this summer started!

Stay cool.

Easter Birthday!

If you're not turning 18, 19, 21 or a child your birthday can quickly become a dreaded event. People are weird around their birthday it is like a personal New Years Eve. Thinking about the past year and the year to come can be daunting. I knew I had to turn the day around and make it special. You only turn 23 once!

This year my whole family was together at my parents’ house to celebrate Easter and their first born, me! My always-supportive sister helped me create a day I won't soon forget. The sun was shining and the snow has melted. We went and picked up 24 balloons for 30 dollars from Party City (two ended up flying away so it was lucky we had the extra). Before we went back home we stopped at Blackbridge for the first look. Its not a quiet road so onlookers must have thought we were nuts.

Everyone look beautiful in their pastels. I am wearing a top I got on sale from J.Crew, Sexy Boyfriend jeans from the Gap and Steve Madden flats from The Bay.

23 purple balloons
My puppy, June (she is a failed guide dog on purpose so she could stay with us)
Love the spring colors!

Mike & Jon were troupers and we love them for it

The day called for a walk in the forest still dressed in our easter finest
Hope you spend the holiday weekend with those you love, I know I did!

How do you guys make your birthday special?

Denim Done Right

We all know denim was where it was at in the 90's. It did not ever really go away and like a good relationship it evolved into something better.

Mr. & Mrs. Carter can still match but in a more subtle way

Everyone remembers his or her firsts. The first time I remember seeing boyfriend jeans was on Victoria Beckham. Most of you will not agree but I thought she look so cool! She looked like she just woke up and put on David Beckhams' pants. I thought the thick belt also accentuated her very tiny waist. I myself don't feel I have much of a waist so I can appreciate when I see a woman with a similar frame.

VB and I have both learned how to get a better fit boyfriend jean and avoid the sagging behind. I love this style and I can not wait to recreate it myself!

Keep on denim-ing

GUESS WHO GOT DELETED!?

I can joke about this now but in the moment I was traumatized! Google robots deleted babblinginblazers. As Stephanie Tanner would say

(It begins to not sound like a word after 15 seconds)

The bots mistakenly thought I was spam. Since the robots who have no soul did that I will try not to take offence GOOGLE.

Tips to the deleted:

  • Do not give up! Keep clicking restore so no one forgets about you
  • Post in help forums. I waited to long because mine took 10 days to come back to me. Google monitors those forums and can help you a lot faster.
Don't bother tweeting at them my professor and I tried that... and although Google is a wonderful place to work, so I hear according to the movie The Internship, its customer service is not comparable to that of Starbucks.
